# 53 - Frosty Morning on Dillon Lake Dillon, Colorado
Mother Nature worked very hard to create this scene. To put the frost on these aspens she had to make it very cold (- 15) so that the 35 degree water would steam all night long. She had to keep it quiet so the steam could gather on the branches and she had to keep it quiet as the sun came up so it would not blow off. Finally, she made the skies clear so the sun could show off her handiwork. All I had to do was to know where and when she was creating this magic and be there in the 20 minutes time span between when the fog burned off and the frost melted. Ten Mile Range forms the background.
