# 102-4 . Four Seasons Dillon Lake, Colorado
This four season collage of Dillon Lake and Ten Mile Range reflects both natural and man made changes over a three year period. In the winter scene (the first taken) you will notice a greater number of trees than in the last one taken - fall. This is due to the hard work (not to mention large appetite) of a beaver. As for the man caused changes you may notice as you progress from "spring" to "winter" that the water level drops. When Denver gets thirsty in the summer the water levels in Dillon Lake (owned by Denver) drop. The tiny island on the left which is actually submerged in "spring" reemerges to become a very long island in the fall scene.
Finally, to end arguments and direct payment of bets, I will reveal the months of each photo. Spring was mid June (snow has retreated to tree line), Summer was mid August (snow is almost gone) Fall was mid September (snow makes its return), and Winter was in mid December (snow conquers all for the usual 7 months).
