# 68 - Moonlight on Trees: Yellowstone National Park
Steam rises from hot pools and geysers on this cold February night at Midway geyser basin in Yellowstone Park. The steam drifts in the gentle breeze creating ever changing looks to this scene. Snow is not removed from the boardwalks in winter and at this location has piled up to the top of the guardrail which can be seen between the most right tree and the cluster of trees to its left. This is a 45 second time exposure taken on 25 ASA film. No filters or flash were used. What appear to be scratches on the print are actually stars tracking during the exposure. This shows how much the earth itself moved in these 45 seconds.
